Land
use |
| One of Wellman & Warren's main
practice areas is the field of land-use
regulation. Some cities and counties
oppose new development proposals because
they want to maintain a small and exclusive
population within their borders, or
because they are ideologically opposed
to the project, or for some other reason.
Clients frustrated by local governmental
opposition to legitimate land-use proposals
need attorneys with particular expertise
in the areas of administrative law,
civil rights litigation, and regulatory
takings. Wellman & Warren's attorneys
have practiced and published extensively
in these areas. To give a single example
among many, we recently obtained a $2,000,000
settlement from the City of Anaheim
because of its unconstitutional opposition
to the siting of an adult-entertainment
club. noteworthy
